Joseph O. Rogers, Jr. Scholarship

The recipient of the Joseph O. Rogers, Jr. Scholarship will be chosen by a committee consisting of the Director of the Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough Center on Professionalism, the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, and a Librarian from the Coleman Karesh Law Library. Nominees should be rising third year law students who exemplify the highest ideals of the legal profession, according to the following criteria:

  1. Adherence to strict ethical standards;
  2. Diligent preparation;
  3. Decent, civil and courteous conduct; and
  4. Fidelity and loyalty to fellow students and the legal profession.

Specific examples of ways in which the student has met each of these criteria are desirable. Anyone may submit a recommendation and a candidate may be recommended by more than one person.
