To honor the memory of Coleman Karesh, the School of Law established the Coleman Karesh Society. The purpose of the Coleman Karesh Society was to establish an endowment to support programs of the School of Law particularly important to Coleman Karesh. The Society supports scholarships, student co-curricular activities, the law library, seminars and lectures.
Coleman Karesh received undergraduate and law degrees from the University of South Carolina. He joined the faculty of the School of Law in 1937 after 12 years of private practice. He was a recognized authority in the fields of wills, trusts and estate administration, contract, mortgages, partnership and suretyship.
