Live from the White House!
October 28, 2011
Students joined Professor Bob Bockman on Oct 13, 2011 in the Pro Bono Office watching a live stream of the Champions of Change event. Champions of Change is sponsored by the White House Office of Public Engagement and the Access to Justice Initiative of the US Department of Justice. This national, online conversation among law students and faculty, public service lawyers, and Attorney General Eric Holder, was an opportunity to talk about what lawyers can do to close the justice gap. 16 public service Champions were honored to serve as inspiration for all. Pamela Robinson, Director of the USC School of Law Pro Bono Program was a guest in the audience at the White House event. The conversations with the Champions centered around questions posed by faculty and students from law schools across the nation. The following question from USC created quite an interesting response: "If a genie offered you one wish and told you it could only be used to eliminate one of the barriers to justice for all, what would be your wish?"
