Statement of Purpose

OutLaw seeks to provide a safe haven for LGBT law students at USC. We strive to be a forum of free-thought and support. As a student organization, our focus is on bringing understanding and perspective to those who may not fully understand what it means to be LGBT within the student body and the legal community. We hope to be a resource for students and faculty, as well as a forum for discussion of legal issuesthat affect the LGBT community. Additionally, we hope to offer a collective of advice, wisdom and contacts to our LGBT members as they prepare to enter the workforce. Our long-term goal is to raise funds to promote education to dispel myths associated with identifying as LGBT.
