Pro Bono Program
Another successful food drive!!
The Harvest Hope Food Bank truck arrived at noon on Monday, November 17, 2008 and in just an hour USC Law students had loaded the boxes and stacked the bags. A total of over 18,000 pounds was collected during the “Best Class Food Drive”. The winner of the competition was the Class of 2010 with 7, 264 pounds. They just edged out an enthusiastic first year class who collected 7, 280 pounds.
The “Best Class Food Drive” is a semi-annual service project spearheaded by the Pro Bono Program and embraced by a majority of the law school community. Each year the educational component drives home the increasing need to address hunger insecurity in SC and each year the Law School steps up to the plate and makes a real difference.
