Pro Bono Program
November 2010 Food Drive

“You guys are just amazing!” exclaimed Amy Lowery from Harvest Hope Food Bank as she watched a team of volunteer law students load the truck with pounds and pounds of food. Thanksgiving will be a little bit happier for a number of families as the 43,206 pounds of food arrived at the food bank. In just one year the Law School donated over 100,000 pounds of food. The Law School has been conducting food drives since 1994b and has donated over 300,000 pounds of food to help those in need. As one student noted “We are all a bit competitive and this is a way to put that competitive spirit to good use.” The Class of 2013 won the “Best Class Food Drive” with 21,532 pounds. Close on their heels was the Class of 2012 with 20,402 pounds. Check out these photos from this year’s success!
