USC receives Impact Award
The United Way of the Midlands has selected the University of South Carolina to receive the United Way of the Midlands Community Impact Award. This award is presented each year during National Volunteer Appreciation week to recognize those groups and individuals that demonstrate a commitment to volunteerism and have made an impact to causes, programs or projects that support human service needs in the Midlands. The School of Law's Food Drive, Hunger Awareness, and SNAP Challenge efforts over the course of a number of years contributed to USC receipt of the award.
Harvest Hope Food Bank nominated The University of South Carolina for this award, which will be presented at a ceremony at EdVenture Museum at Thursday April 19th from 5:30-7pm.
