Office of Law Registrar & Academic ServicesSofTest Examination SoftwareThe University of South Carolina School of Law allow students to use laptops to take exams in courses where professors have opted to use the SofTest software. The software basically converts the laptops into word processors and blocks other applications from loading. Students wanting to use their laptops for final exams are required to register and install SofTest, then take the Mock Exam. How does SofTest work?Using SofTest, you will download your exam(s) prior to or on exam day and upload your answer(s) after the exam via the Internet. You WILL NOT require Internet connectivity during your exam(s). You WILL require Internet connectivity to download your exam(s) and upload your answers(s). Although SofTest can be installed and registered on virtual platforms, it will only be enabled for non-secure Practice Exams.
